Sunday working...

So after my lovely Sunday last week today I am stuck at work.
I spent my Saturday off on the couch with a killer sore throat & now I have a sinus infection :(
Covering one of my home wards today so hiding out in the office doing some of my own work when not busy :)
My father in law is also in hospital at the moment but he's doing well & should go home soon.

Thought I would post some pics from the Zara Phillips wedding.

Recycled outfits...

This is one of the reasons I love Kate - she's not afraid to wear the same thing twice :)
Last worn in LA; now at the pre-wedding celebration for Zara & Mike

Sunday in the city....

Today was the last day of my glorious 3 day weekend. Well it has rained for most of it, but I really appreciated not having to go into work!

Mr TPS & I headed into the city today for some serious retail therapy. I was determined to have a decent look in Zara so we decided to be in there for opening.

First up (pre-stores opening) was breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien in Westfield Sydney. I've had lunch there with my sister before & really loved the service & food - today it didn't disappoint :)

After this we headed into the upstairs entry to Zara - I left Mr TPS in the menswear section & went down to womenswear. I went into the changeroom with 5 items & left with just:

These were $40 on sale - saw on the US site they are $30 on sale. Sigh. But I actually really liked them on!

We headed over to Myer. I bought:

(Clearly my photo skills are not as good as the professionals!)

We also headed to Tiffany where we got our rings cleaned & I made my wishlist for our US trip - same story with Chanel but more on that in a future post.

We had hot chocolate at the Lindt cafe - I hadn't had one there before, I now understand what the fuss is about!

Back to Westfield & yes, I bought these:

I really wanted the ferragamo in this colour & even though they're in the latest STYD they're apparently old stock AND completely sold out :( Sambag didn't even have these left in my size (36) but they're getting them up from a Victorian store so I've already paid for them & Mr TPS will pick them up when they're in.

On the way home we dropped into a homemaker centre in Auburn, I wanted to check out this for our apartment:
I knew we wouldn't be buying it today as it wouldn't fit in Mr TPS's MX-5, however it was nice to see that it will suit & Mr TPS likes it too.

Turns out this did fit in the car...
To replace our shaggy green rug we've had for the last 2 years. The old one has sent so much fluff everywhere in our apartment & then we got puggy & it went through his toilet training phase & was always full of bits & pieces of his treats & chews. Much happier with this one. Now for cushions to match....

Airport Hotel Accommodation...

Have booked a couple more hotels... Both of these through Priceline

We are going to see the Foo Fighters at a venue very close to Newark airport - so figured we would stay at one of the airport hotels & pick the hire car up the next day....

Renaissance Newark Airport Hotel
Paid US$89/night + tax

Then after a few days in DC, we have an early flight to Miami, and since DC accommodation seems to be so expensive, thought we'd save some by staying the last night at the airport, and only 2 in the city.

Hyatt Dulles
Paid US$100/night + taxes

Both have indoor pools!!!

My Review Olivia dress got so many compliments at work today, I think it's going to need it's own wardrobe for the ego it'll be developing...
(Navy blue background with pink dots - I wear it without the ribbon/belt)

And the best news is that this is a 4 day week for me - yes that's right, a REAL 3 day weekend - so only 3 days of work to go!!

Having a bit of a tidy this afternoon - looking for the adaptor for my battery charger so I can take some photos for ebay....

Our study is in a constant state of clutter, argh.

Today Mr TPS & I finally got around to visiting a 2nd hand bookstore that my aunt had mentioned some time ago. (The good news is I have not been called in for work yet - hoping it continues!)

Anyway, this store is tucked away in a little arcade in Baulkham Hills - there are lots of empty stores around it. The store is jam-packed with piles of books but the owner (Steve) is super helpful & will also search for books you are looking for. Prices were great, books were $5-6 each.

I managed to pick up 2 Adele Parks books I haven't read yet.

He has a website: Recycled Books

We also had breakfast at a lovely little cafe around the corner "Bakehouse Cafe" I am just disappointed that the Vinnies store across the road was already closed - I don't understand why op shops close so early on a Saturday!!

Love this dress

My favourite princess...

Thursday night shopping at Review...

So today I tried very hard to finish on time so my husband & I could go out...

Managed to finish just a half hour late & he met me at work... poor thing had to wait for me, I felt a bit guilty.

So we went to Macquarie Centre - I really wanted Mad Mex but was starving & the line was too long :( So we had burgers instead.

Then wandered around the shops - got lots of treats for our puggy...

Managed to kill off a heap of my lemmings at review (only a concession in Myer there unfortunately):

But I did buy the skirt from this:

They didn't have the top in yet :(

Decided I don't like:

They didn't have the coat in yet :(

And I forgot to try on this cardi - maybe next time.

I like when I get put off things, it makes my credit card (& my husband) much happier!!

USA Shopping List: Boots

So I have a pretty long shopping list for my trip to the US this year....

Up first is boots. I want a pair of new, flat, knee high boots.

Been browsing Saks online & these are the ideas I've come up with so far...

Alexander Wang

Loeffler Randall

Tory Burch

And another...

So the previous house was more realistic in terms of our price range...

But this was one that was for sale before which I also loved.
