Loving seeing her hair out for a change!! Looks lovely!

Loving Letizia's green coat & dress!

Kate strolling in Kensinton Gardens with the puppy...

And out visiting a school on her own...

Charlene really has been looking fantastic as well as happy lately!

These photos of Victoria were released last week - when I saw them I thought she is going to give birth any day now (even though she wasn't oficially due until March) - sure enough she did! (Within days of these photos)

Week Eight...

So as mentioned earlier, I had a bit of a slip up this week. I blame Zara... & my sister

I bought 2 dresses & a pair of ballet flats from Zara - grand total? $229.85.

I decided to take the extra $100 from my pay - got more than usual this week.

Oh & had another hiccup with my Jason Wu for Target orders - won't be receiving the t-shirt after all, so that's a refund of $19.66 into my spending account ;)

Am so disorientated at the moment - back on nights & really don't feel like today is Sunday! Doesn't help when you sleep most of the day away... managed a quick walk to the park with puggy & Mr TPS this afternoon.

Beginning of week $112.67
Plus refund $132.33
I spent $229.85
Extra from pay $100
Leftover $2.48
Next week $102.48

Name fit for a Princess...

So now for some happy royal news, the new Princess of Sweden's name: Estelle Silvia Eva Mary, Duchess of Ostergotland.

Some sad news...

Remember how I mentioned the Dutch prince was in hospital after an avalanche? This update has recently been announced - explains why the royal family always look so sad leaving the hospital :(

(Clearly this has been translated - I'm assuming reanimated is poor translation for resuscitated, 50 minutes is a LONG downtime)

24 February 2012: The head of the medical team attending His Royal Highness Prince Friso at Innsbruck university hospital has just issued a press statement giving further information on the Prince's condition and his outlook for the future. The statement was as follows (the written text may differ slightly from the spoken text):

Prince Friso was brought to Innsbruck university hospital by rescue helicopter at about 14:00 on 17 February, after being buried by an avalanche in Lech. He was covered for approximately 25 minutes. At the hospital, after receiving initial treatment in the reanimation unit, he was taken straight to the intensive care trauma unit. This unit specialises in treating the most seriously injured avalanche patients with the utmost medical and technical expertise. The unit's head is Dr Wolfgang Koller.

Our unit was notified of the patient's imminent arrival and we were able to prepare everything in advance. Prince Friso was brought to the hospital under reanimation conditions. Due to the length of time he was covered under the snow, his brain had been deprived of oxygen. The result was cardiac arrest, which lasted approximately 50 minutes. The patient had to be reanimated during this entire period. Fifty minutes is a very long time. One could say, too long. We hoped that the patient's mild hypothermic state had sufficiently protected the brain against excessive damage. Unfortunately, our hope was in vain. Since last Friday, a team of specialists has been fighting to save Prince Friso's life. Yesterday, a first MRI-scan was possible, without bringing the patient into danger. Since this examination and the latest neurological tests yesterday evening it is clear that the oxygen deprivation has caused extensive damage to the patient's brain. At present it is not certain whether he will ever regain consciousness. In any event, rehabilitation will take months, if not years. Prince Friso's family will now look for an appropriate rehabilitation facility.
Thank you to the lovely my royals blog for this update

It's a Girl!!!

Princess Victoria has given birth to a baby girl!

This video is really cute... Even if you, like me, don't speak Swedish...

When Victoria was young they changed the constitution so that the first born child, regardless of whether female or male could take over the throne (previously it was only males).

Looks like Sweden now has two queens-in-waiting ;)

She was 51cm & 3.2kg.

Daniel looks thrilled.

Baby Update

Princess Victoria has been taken to the Karolinska hospital in Sweden to have the baby!

I'm so excited!

Karolinska is one of the worlds top research hospitals too :)

Four Seasons...

So in planning for our holiday in Hawaii I have become obsessed with the Four Seasons resorts.

Lanai at Manele Bay

Hualalai at Historic Kaupulehu

(All photos from Four Seasons website)

Has anyone stayed in any of these?
